Seeking

Sino Donato

I am currently exploring options to use my skills, experience, and passions to uplift an organization towards its mission and goals.  I seek a place of work, but more than that I seek a home and group of like-minded professionals to join.  Collaboration remains a focus of mine.  I bring a very positive disposition, superb skills in mediation and conflict resolution, a superior work ethic, and a passion for justice to whatever I do.  I would be happy to join your team.

I am particularly interested in INCLUSIVE EXCELLENCE.  INCLUSIVE EXCELLENCE brings together a comprehensive knowledge base from a variety of sources.  My definition of INCLUSIVE EXCELLENCE can be categorized by four essential pillars - Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Excellence.  As I look for a new place to use my skills and efforts, no matter which industry I land in - real estate, the arts, travel - these are my guiding principles.

DIVERSITY

DIVERSITY:  Individual differences (e.g. personality, learning styles, and life experiences) and group/social differences (e.g. race/ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, country of origin, and ability as well as cultural, political, religious, or other affiliations) that can be engaged in the service of an organization.  I believe in building a critical mass of meaningful representation.

EQUITY

EQUITY MINDEDNESS:  Refers to the outlook, perspective or mode of thinking exhibited by those in an organization who are able to call attention to patterns of inequity and are willing to assume personal and institutional responsibility for the elimination of inequity.  This includes being “color conscious,” noticing differences in experience among racial-ethnic groups, and being willing to talk about race and ethnicity as an aspect of equity.  Equity perspectives are evident in actions, language, problem-framing, problem-solving, and cultural practices.  Equity mindedness confronts the often deficit mindedness that posits that those not at the table are absent because of their shortcomings.  I believe in representational equity that demands proportional participation of historically underrepresented racial-ethnic groups at all levels of an institution or organization.

INCLUSION

INCLUSION:  The active, intentional, and ongoing engagement with diversity - in people, in work-focus, and in communities (intellectual, social, cultural, geographical) with which individuals might connect - in ways that increase one’s awareness, knowledge, cognitive sophistication, and emphatic understanding of the complex ways individuals interact within systems and institutions/organizations.

EXCELLENCE

EXCELLENCE:  The quality of being excellent; state of possessing good qualities in an eminent degree; exalted merit; superiority in virtue.
